Er. Sarvagya Kr. Srivastava did his B.E. in Civil Engineering from University of Roorkee (now IIT, Roorkee) in 1978; M.Tech., in Geo Technical Engineering from IIT, Delhi in 1980; MBA in Public Sector Management from the University of Exeter, England in 1994.
He joined CPWD as an officer of Central Engineering Service of 1980 batch and spent over three decades in CPWD in developing and maintaining infrastructure in diverse fields and terrains in different parts of the country.
Er. Srivastava, as Engineer-in-Chief and as Pr Secretary, PWD Delhi oversaw the planning, Construction and maintenance of roads, bridges flyovers, hospitals, educational institutions, and other infrastructure projects in the city of Delhi. His significant contributions include the creation of critical arterial elevated corridors like the Barapullah corridor, the Vikas Puri to Wazirabad elevated road, etc. that contributed to decongestion of Delhi’s roads.
His interest in conservation and optimum utilization of water resources resulted in the introduction of various rainwater harvesting schemes significant amongst them being the recycling of wastewater and self -sustaining solid waste management system in NSG campus at Manesar housing over 2,500 families and 6,000 troops.
Er. Srivastava has carried out restoration of monumental heritage buildings like North Block, South Block, Rashtra Pati Bhawan and Parliament House in Delhi. He also restored more than hundred years old pretties of Shimla such as Vice-Regal Lodge (IIAS Gorton Castle, railway Board Building. Grand Hotel and the old complex of Yarrows.
After retiring from CPWD as a Special DG and Engineer in Chief of Delhi PWD. Er. Srivastava has worked as Advisor for redevelopment of ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi; various Academic institutions including IITs and as Arbitrator. He is also the Chairman of Delhi State Environment Impact Assessment Authority.
